Today I got one important work to edit the PSD files. But I don’t have PhotoShop installed in my computer. If I download the trail version it will take at least 5 hrs for my 512 kbps connection. You have to add those calendars manually. You can also add Jewish holidays to Google calendar.  Here I’m giving the illustrated guide to add holidays to your Google calendar.

  • 1:   Go to Google.com/calendar/render
  • 2:   Login with your Gmail or Google account
  • 3:   Now you will see weekly calendar. Just make it as Monthly by clicking “Month” button in the top right corner.
  • 4:   Now see “Other Calendars” Tab in the left sidebar. (next to “My Calendars” tab)

  • 5:   In there click “Add” and you click “Browse Interesting Calendars” option.

  • 6:   Now you can see the all available National holiday calendars by country wise. Click on the “Subscribe” link to add those calendars. You can also add sports calendar in the “Sports” section.

  • 7:   Go back to calendar and view the national holidays in Google Calendar itself.
  • 8:   Finally you can differentiate the calendar by changing its color.

  • 1:   Go to docs.google.com and login with your Google account or Gmail account.
  • 2:   Click on the “Create New” button located in the top left. In the drop down click any of your desired document type. It will open in the new window or tab.  (You can create PDF file for any document type such as Word Document, Spreadsheet, Presentation and Drawings.)

Google’s New Image Search:

Did you check the Google’s new image search? After the new home page update, Google released this new image search update. I think the design only got changed. Not the image results. Anyway we have some more features in this.

  • On Mouse over the image is zooming. (Not very big :)
  • Displaying pages in scroll. More than 100 page results in single page.
  • Similar images options are available for selected images.
  • Opened page is still coming with frame. But this time frame goes to right side bar.
  • Don’t compare with Bing. Only 10% difference I’m seeing.  :)

Yahoo’s New Image Search:

  • The New Yahoo Image Search Home page got the Trending Images slide show.   
  • 75% Results form Flickr.
  • Image Results completely different from Google and Bing.
  • Opened page got the new look with more results.
  • Apart from iSERP design, Yahoo added some more quality images to their image search engine index.

Bing Image Search:

  • First search engine started styling in  images search results page.
  • No more hanging now. Loading faster than Google.
  • Have some mixed results with Google.

But if it is the best one means, most of the time it won’t satisfy us. So we will continue our search in Google or otherwise in frustration we will go for another Search Engines like Yahoo and Bing.

But you can stop your frustration by looking at your first result. It is just finding the related websites or related articles for our first result. Just take an example. We need free alternative software for Microsoft Word. Because it is not free software. Our keyword is “microsoft word”. Just follow the screenshots.

Step 1:
Go to Google.com and enter the keyword “microsoft word”.


Now Google will list the popular website related to that keyword. That’s office.microsoft.com.

Step 2:
You can see two links followed by office.microsoft.com. And click that “Similar” link. (Open it in New Tap or New window) Check the screenshot below.

Step 3:
Now you got 178 similar websites related to office.microsoft.com or for the keyword “microsoft word”.  Look at the related results.

Step 4:
In the results, you can see Open Office website, ThinkFree Online version, Google Docs, Microsoft Office Live Workspace and Zoho online version and lot more.

So finally we got the free alternative to Microsoft Word. This way we can search for related sites for the most popular sites.  Let’s try another example: Now I’m looking for alternative to “norton internet security”. Use this keyword from 1st step and get your best  antivirus software (You will see this page).

We can get this feature only in Google. Yahoo and Bing don’t have this feature.

Thats all. Please remember this is only for US people. And it is also has limited availably. So hurry up.  I think people from outside US can send these cards to US address. Anyway I’ve have to ask some of my friend’s address to send this card.

So Google also says, sending the message via ordinary post, grows your relationship extraordinarily. Hmmm Now Google reaches your home via papers.

Now you can attach or upload images from the Gmail Compose editor itself. No need to host the pictures in Free Images hosting sites. Either you can upload the images or paste the URL of the image.

Enable "Inserting Images" in Gmail Lab settings

For enabling this feature, login to your Gmail account and go to Settings page and go to Labs tab. And look for the “Inserting images” feature and check it enable and click “Save Changes” button in the bottom. Now you will see the “Insert Image” icon in the Compose mail editor. See the screenshots.
